How much does Flutter app development cost in India? (2026)

Real numbers from a studio that prices, builds and runs Flutter apps every week — what an app costs, what drives the price, and what you'll pay after launch.

The short answer

A Flutter app built in India costs ₹25,000–₹1,50,000 for a focused MVP, ₹1,50,000–₹3,00,000 for a production-ready product, ₹3,00,000–₹8,00,000 for a full-featured app, and ₹8,00,000 or more for a complex or enterprise platform (AppTeky's 2026 starting prices, excluding GST). Each price covers Android and iOS from a single codebase. After launch, ongoing development costs ₹40,000–₹1,50,000 per month, depending on how much you ship.

Flutter app cost by app type

The biggest factor in cost is how much the app does: how many kinds of users it serves, and how much logic sits behind each screen. These are the tiers we quote against.

App typeWhat it usually includesTypical costTimeline
Starter MVPCore features only, sign-in, Firebase backend, basic admin — enough to validate an ideaFrom ₹25,000Typically 7–14 days, depending on scope
Growth MVPMobile app, admin panel, backend/API, multiple user roles, notifications, basic reportsFrom ₹50,000Depends on scope
Full productProduction architecture, backend/API, admin dashboard, notifications, analytics, store launch, post-launch supportFrom ₹1,50,0004–16 weeks
Full-featured appSeveral user roles, payments, an admin panel (Flutter Web), analytics, store launchFrom ₹3,00,0008–16 weeks
Complex / enterpriseMulti-tenant or white-label, offline-first sync, ERP or API integrations, several apps and web panelsFrom ₹8,00,00016+ weeks, phased

For reference: AdoniBook, a distribution app we built for seven roles (owner, salesman, billing, packing, godown, delivery and driver) with offline orders, credit ledgers and payroll, sits firmly in the complex tier. A single-role booking or catalogue app is an MVP. Final pricing always depends on requirements, complexity and integrations — which is why we split bigger projects into paid phases.

What drives the cost of a Flutter app

  • User roles. Every role (customer, staff, admin, delivery) adds its own screens, permissions and testing.
  • Backend. Firebase is fastest and cheapest to start. A custom API with PostgreSQL or Node.js costs more but suits complex business rules.
  • Offline support. Apps that must work without network (field sales, delivery, rural areas) need local storage and sync logic.
  • Payments and integrations. UPI and payment gateways, GST invoicing, WhatsApp alerts, maps and third-party APIs each add scope.
  • Admin panel. Most business apps need one. With Flutter Web it shares code with the mobile app instead of being a separate project.
  • Design. Building from your finished designs is cheaper than designing from scratch.
  • Languages. Each extra language (Malayalam, Hindi, Arabic) adds translation and layout testing; right-to-left languages need more.

Costs beyond development

Development is the biggest line, but budget for these too:

ItemCostNotes
Google Play developer accountUS$25, one timeRegistered in your company's name
Apple Developer ProgramUS$99 per yearRequired to publish on the App Store
Firebase backendFree to startThe Spark plan is free; you pay per use on Blaze as you grow
Maintenance and new features₹40,000–₹1,50,000 / monthOS updates, store policy changes, bug fixes, new features
App Store Optimisation₹15,000 one timeScreenshots, listing copy and keyword strategy

Flutter vs native: why Flutter usually costs less

A native approach means one codebase in Kotlin for Android and another in Swift for iOS — two sets of developers, two rounds of testing and two apps to maintain forever. Flutter compiles one Dart codebase to Android, iOS and the web. In practice this means:

  • One team builds both mobile apps, so you pay for the feature once, not twice.
  • Bug fixes and new features reach Android and iOS users in the same release.
  • The admin panel or customer portal can be built in Flutter Web from the same code.

Native still makes sense for apps that live on platform-specific hardware features. For most business and consumer apps, Flutter is the lower-cost choice.

Hiring in-house vs outsourcing: monthly cost

If you need continuous development rather than a one-off build, compare the monthly numbers:

OptionMonthly costTime to start
Mid-level in-house Flutter developer₹90,000–₹1,20,000 salary, plus benefits and recruitment2–4 months to hire
AppTeky embedded Flutter team₹60,000–₹1,50,000, all-inclusiveWithin 5 working days
AppTeky app takeover & rescueFrom ₹40,000Audit starts in week 1

How to reduce your app development cost

  1. Start with an MVP. Ship the one workflow that proves the idea, then grow it with real user feedback.
  2. Use Firebase first. Authentication, database, storage and hosting are ready-made and free to start.
  3. Build the admin panel in Flutter Web. It reuses models and logic from the mobile app.
  4. Fix the scope in writing. A clear feature list is the best protection against surprise invoices.
  5. Insist on owning the code. If you own the repository, switching or expanding your team later costs far less.

App development cost: common questions

Straight answers to what people ask us before they get a quote.

At AppTeky, a focused Starter MVP starts at ₹25,000 and a Growth MVP at ₹50,000. A production-ready full product starts at ₹1,50,000, a full-featured multi-role app at ₹3,00,000, and complex or enterprise platforms at ₹8,00,000. All include Android and iOS from one codebase. Final pricing depends on requirements, complexity and integrations; prices exclude GST.

Usually, yes. Flutter builds Android, iOS and web apps from one codebase, so one team writes, tests and maintains the app instead of two or three. The saving is largest when you need both Android and iOS, plus a web admin panel.

One-off fixes and improvements to an existing app start at ₹5,000. Ongoing development with AppTeky runs from ₹40,000/month for app takeover and rescue, and from ₹60,000 to ₹1,50,000/month for a dedicated Flutter team retainer that ships new features every week.

A focused MVP can typically be delivered in 7–14 days depending on scope. A production-ready product takes 4–16 weeks, a full-featured app 8–16 weeks, and a complex multi-role platform 16 weeks or more, delivered in phases.

Yes. Store submission is included in every AppTeky build. The store accounts themselves are in your name: Google Play charges a one-time US$25 registration fee and the Apple Developer Program costs US$99 per year.

AppTeky bills fixed-scope builds 50% upfront, 25% at the mid-project milestone and 25% on delivery. You own the full source code from day one.
